Then it will not extent the maximum supported distance for DP. As far as I know none of VGA nor DP supports 30 ft distance. The distance seems to me the major problem. Two of the displays are about 30 ft away and I have setup DP over cat5 to them. Which one do you have and which limits are specified there? And it may even further depend on the desired resolution on your displays. That may be correct or false, depending on you graphics card.
Silly me I thought I could just use all the monitor connections (1 VGA, and 2 DP) and duplicate all 3.
